TERMS OF SERVICE
1. About ChopChop
ChopChop operates a delivery platform within Ghana, connecting users to vendors and riders.
We provide the technology only; we do not prepare, produce, or store any food or goods listed on the Platform.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using ChopChop, you confirm that:
- You have read and understood these Terms
- You agree to comply with them
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 15 years old
- You must provide accurate and complete information
- You must be legally capable of entering agreements
We may suspend accounts with false or misleading information.
4. Account Registration
To use ChopChop, you must create an account with: Name, Phone number, Email, Delivery address, and Password.
You are responsible for all activity on your account and must keep your login details secure.
5. Our Services
ChopChop enables you to: Browse vendors, Place orders, and Request delivery.
Important:
- Vendors handle food preparation and packaging
- Riders handle delivery
- ChopChop only provides the platform connecting all parties
6. Orders
Before placing an order, you must review: Items selected, Delivery address, Payment method, and Delivery fee.
Placing an order means you agree to pay for it.
7. Delivery
- Deliveries are handled by registered riders
- Riders must deliver items in sealed condition
- You must provide accurate delivery details
We are not responsible for failed or delayed delivery due to incorrect information.
8. Delivery Fees
Delivery fees are calculated based on distance and will be shown before checkout.
9. Payments
We accept:
- Mobile Money
- Cash on Delivery
- Card payments (processed securely via Paystack)
You authorize all payments made through your account.
10. Cancellations
- Orders can be cancelled before vendor acceptance (full refund possible)
- Once preparation starts, cancellation may not be possible
- If a rider is already assigned, partial or no refund may apply
All cases are reviewed individually.
11. Refunds
Refunds may be issued for: Wrong or missing items, Failed deliveries caused by vendor or rider.
Refunds may be processed via: Payment reversal, App credit, Replacement order.
12. Vendor Responsibilities
Vendors must: Ensure food quality and safety, Provide accurate menu information, Package orders properly, and Follow health regulations.
We may remove vendors who do not meet standards.
13. Rider Responsibilities
Riders must: Deliver orders safely and professionally, Maintain order integrity (no tampering), and Follow traffic and safety laws.
We may suspend riders who violate policies.
14. Restricted Items
The Platform must not be used to deliver:
- Illegal substances
- Unauthorized drugs
- Alcohol
- Tobacco
- Any prohibited items under Ghana law
15. Promotions
We may offer: Discounts, Promo codes, and Referral rewards.
Each promotion has its own terms. We may modify or withdraw offers at any time.
16. Prohibited Conduct
You must not: Place fraudulent orders, Abuse riders, vendors, or staff, Provide false information, Impersonate others, or Attempt to hack or disrupt the Platform.
17. Intellectual Property
All content on ChopChop (logos, design, software) belongs to us. You may not copy, modify, or use it without permission.
18. Limitation of Liability
- We do not guarantee food quality (vendors are responsible)
- We are not responsible for delays caused by traffic, vendors, or riders
- We provide the platform “as is”
To the maximum extent allowed by law, ChopChop is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
19. Account Suspension
We may suspend or terminate your account if you: Violate these Terms, Engage in fraud or abuse, or Misuse the Platform.
Termination may occur without prior notice if necessary.
